Birth and Baby Antenatal Course Harrogate

Antenatal Harrogate Birth and Baby

Next course date 7th July 2019

The myLifePool Birth and Baby antenatal course is for expectant parents in Harrogate and the surrounding areas. It has been designed to complement and reinforce the excellent care provided to you by your midwives through the NHS.

Whether you are wanting to attend antenatal classes as a couple, with a birthing partner, or on your own, this course is for you. Even if you are already a parent and have done it all before but want to refresh your memory, come along to make connections with other people expecting around the same time as you.

Maternity and paternity leave can sometimes be a lonely time so along with preparing you for the birth of your baby, we aim to connect you with other people at the same stage of parenting as you, helping you build a strong support network around you throughout your pregnancy, leave and parenting journey.

The ‘Birth and Baby’ antenatal course covers a wide variety of subjects making sure that every base is covered. It is led by fully qualified practitioners who share with you useful and practical information that is realistic and honest, enabling you to make independent and well-informed choices about your pregnancy, your birthing experience and feeding and caring for your new-born during those early weeks at home.

We appreciate that the journey to parenting can be full of unknowns, even if you have done it before, so questions are encouraged and answered honestly.

The Birth & Baby antenatal course is delivered by healthcare practitioners who are experts in their fields

Our healthcare practitioners will also often pop into the forums to answer questions where they can.

Our foundation Birth & Baby antenatal course is delivered in a day and a light lunch and refreshments are provided. If you choose, you can book onto additional courses with our practitioners to get a more in-depth information on subjects like antenatal breastfeeding, hypnobirthing and pregnancy relaxation.
