Sally Goodwin-Mills – First Infant Feeding

Sally qualified in 1995 as a children’s nurse and worked for ten years on Children’s wards, SCBU and Neonatal Units in Leeds and Harrogate. In 2005 she trained to be a Health Visitor and began working with families in the community.

Following this she has been worked in Public Health with a focus on breastfeeding and implementing the Baby Friendly Initiative, supporting women to breastfeed for as long as they want. Sally then trained as a lactation consultant. She is passionate about ensuring that all women and families have access to excellent infant feeding information,  so they can make a fully informed decision about feeding their baby and feel supported in their choices. Sally brings her expertise and passion to the Birth & Baby antenatal course coving topics like;

  • The importance of getting to know baby in pregnancy
  • Common myths
  • Breastfeeding and health – for mum and baby
  • How breastfeeding works, including how Dad can help
